Alma Edna Schneeberger went home to be with her Lord on Friday, January 30, 2009. She resided at Shawn Manor Nursing Home. She was 89.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 2PM at the Free Will Baptist Church, 1900 E. Hubbard Rd. in Ponca City with the Rev. David Bigger, officiating. Burial will follow in the Braman Cemetery. Arrangements are made under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.
She was born March 4, 1919 in Shilder, OK. She was the daughter of Harley and Sadie (Whitson) Kitchel. She married Ira Schneeberger on July 6, 1937 in Wellington, KS.
She was a mother and homemaker raising nine children. In later years she worked at Ponca Floral and Plant Alley. She was also a volunteer at the McCord Senior Citizens Nutrition Center.
Alma enjoyed making quilts, ceramics, gardening and canning. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters: Shirley Spears and husband Leo of Barnsdall, OK, Patsy Stowers and husband Bob of Lamont, OK, and Maxine Schoonover of Savonburg, KS; six sons: Jerry Schneeberger and wife Nella of Lamont, OK, Larry Schneeberger of Marland, OK, Lonnie Schneeberger and wife Ruthie of Guymon, OK, Don Schneeberger and wife Ann of Ponca City, OK, Daniel Schneeberger and wife Roberta of Blackwell, OK, and Dennis Schneeberger and wife Brenda of Kildare, OK; one brother Danny Kitchel of Perkins, OK; 24 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and 21 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ira, two sons: Bobby Schneeberger and Jimmy Schneeberger, one daughter Darlene Schneeberger, one grandson Bobby Spears, one granddaughter Judy Schoonover, one great grandson George Polasek, her parents and step mother, one sister, seven half sisters, one brother, and five half brothers.
Casketbearers will be her sons Larry, Lonnie, Don, Daniel, Dennis and son in-law Leo Spears.
Honorary casketbearers will be her grandsons, Eddie and Kenneth Spears, Mike Wright, Jerry Jr, Matthew, and Danny Schneeberger, Marty Schneeberger, Steve and Chad Schneeberger, Jerome Schneeberger, Ranceton Schneeberger, and Jason and Bradley Schneeberger.

The family will be at the home of Don and Ann Schneeberger, 1400 E. Ferguson, Ponca City, OK.
