Jim Maxwell Cass passed away Sunday, February 22, 2009 in the St. John Hospital, Joplin, Missouri. He was 62 years old.
Jim was born September 2, 1946 in Pawnee, , the son of Roy A. and Myrtle (Daniels) Cass. A Veteran, Jim was a member of the Osage Tribe of Indians, Grayhorse District. He was a member of the BCS Pool League and for over 25 years, he played in the Osage County Tuesday Night Bowling League. Jim was retired from the Osage Nation Health Services, where he served as the Head of Maintenance.
Surviving family includes: His children: Tonya Cass Rowland and husband, Jim, of Miami, OK; Newton Daniels Cass and wife, Kimberly, of Pawhuska; Sarah Cass Boyce and husband, Jake, of Tulsa; Six grandchildren: Haiden and Tori Rowland; McKenna and Jacob Boyce; Vin and Vada Cass; Two brothers: Dan Cass and wife, Marion, of Pawhuska; Leroy Cass and wife, Carolyn, of Sperry; Two sisters: Cynthia Pradmore of Fairfax; Lila Dooling of Skiatook; and a host of other family and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and siblings - Charles Williams, Ralph D. Williams, George Williams, Edna Cass Conley, Charlotte Cass Fowler, Charles “Chock” Cass and Sarah Ann Cass.
Traditional Indian Services will be held Wednesday, February 25, at 8 a.m. in the Indian Camp Chapel, Pawhuska. Following, funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, also in the Indian Camp Chapel. Interment will be in the Pawhuska City Cemetery.
