Clark Todd of Barnsdall was assaulted this afternoon as he rode a lawnmower up 3rd Street at Vine. According to witnesses, four people in two pickup trucks drew up alongside Todd, jumped out, retrieved two metal bats from the bed of the truck, and attacked Todd in full view of at least three witnesses. He was hit on the top of the head by one assailant who wielded the bat like an axe, and was kicked by others after he fell, witnesses said.
Todd was taken by ambulance to Bartlesville, where he was treated and release for head injuries.
Arrested were Bill D. Trammel, 46, Deana Trammel, 40, their son Skyler Trammel, 20, and Cody Sanford, 19. None has a criminal history in Oklahoma.
