CYNTHIA ANN SCHMIDT passed away Thursday, November 26, 2009 at her home in Barnsdall. She was 40 years old.
Cindy was born November 25, 1969 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, the daughter of Paul and Beverly Ann (Davis) Whinery. On May 23, 1998, she married Phillip Ray Schmidt at Hulah Lake. At the time of her death, Cindy was working as an LPN at the Dick Conner Correctional Center in Hominy. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing various crafts and spending time with her family and friends. An avid supporter of Barnsdall sports programs, Cindy was involved with any fundraising activities which benefitted these programs. She was a member of the Lighthouse Family Worship Center of Barnsdall.
Surviving family include: Her husband: Phillip Ray Schmidt of the home; Her children: Whitney Renee Dahl, Tyler Ray Schmidt, Ryan Tyler Dahl, and Paul Riley Schmidt, all of Barnsdall; Her parents: Paul and Beverly Ann Whinery of Barnsdall; Her brothers and sister: Danny Edward Whinery, Jackie Lee Whinery and Tommy Allan Whinery, all of Barnsdall; Her nephew: Michael James Climer of St. Joe, MO; Her niece: Katie Michelle Whinery of Barnsdall; Her great nephew: Gage Lee Whinery of Barnsdall; And a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 1, 10:00 AM, at the Lighthouse Family Worship Center of Barnsdall. Rev. Barry Gott will officiate. Interment will be in the Ethel Reese Cemetery.
