Mr. Orlo Everet Andrews, 83, of Barnsdall, died at 8:36 A.M. Wednesday , November 25, 2009 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center.
Funeral services for Mr. Andrews will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, November 30, 2009 at the First Christian Church in Barnsdall with Mr. Leon Martin officiating. Interment in the Ethel Reece Cemetery at Barnsdall under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home at Barnsdall.

Mr. Andrews was born in Woods County, Oklahoma on January 18, 1926, the son of Everet and Bertha (Sample) Andrews. He grew up and received his education in western Oklahoma and graduated from high school at Cleo Springs. He was married to
Leola Marie Simmons at Fairview, Oklahoma on January 1, 1939. They were active in ranch work and made their home at Fairview for two years and then moved to the Alva area where they made their home for 4 to 5 years until moving to a ranch in the Barnsdall area in the 1950’s. They moved to Oklahoma City where he attended Midwest Christian College and became active in the ministry. He was a pastor at Deer Creek, Oklahoma until moving back to the Barnsdall area in the mid 1960s. He was active as a plant employee at the Bareco Wax refinery in Barnsdall until his retirement in 1988 and also served as a supply preacher for various churches in the area. He was an animal lover and raised show goats, mules, horses and operated a dog kennel. He never met a stranger and loved taking care of his animals.
Mr. Andrews is survived by his wife Leola Marie Andrews of Barnsdall, two daughters, Peggy LaVelle and her husband E.J. and Leasa Frye and her husband Frank, all of Webb City, Missouri, two grandchildren, Andrea Frye and Ashley Frye and two nephews, Larry McBride and Terry Dannar. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
